ASO Awards and Member-Led Symposia at UKCO2017

The UKCO organising committee are now welcoming suggestions from ASO members for symposia.  Symposia sessions are 1.5 hours long and the use of time and the number of contributors are flexible within the 1.5-hour time slot. If you are an ASO member and wish to be a part of the programme, please download a copy of the Symposia Proposal Form. The deadline for submission is Friday 31st March, 2017 and must be sent by email to the ASO office.

 

ASO Awards – Three Awards will be offered to ASO Members at UKCO2017

Best Practice Award

ASO are inviting abstract submissions from non-research members, including clinicians and those working in public health.

These abstracts will be judged by the ASO trustees. The winner will be informed prior to UKCO, where they will be asked to present their abstract. They will receive a prize certificate formally presented at UKCO2017 and complimentary registration.

If you wish to apply for this award please read the Best Practice Award Process and Criteria and submit your abstract using the Best Practice Award Form and emailing it to the ASO office. Do not submit your abstract for this award via the online abstract submission system. Submission deadline for this award is Wednesday June 14, 2017.

Best Abstract Award

All abstracts submitted to UKCO2017 will be automatically entered for a chance to win this award. The winner will be informed prior to UKCO, where they will be asked to present their research. Abstracts must be submitted via the online abstract submission system.  Abstract submission deadline is Wednesday June 14, 2017. The winner will receive a prize certificate formally presented at UKCO2017 and complimentary registration for UKCO2018.

‘New to Research’ Best poster-based presentations

Poster presentations led by delegates who are ‘new to research’ will be eligible for this award. Eligible applicants must not have more than 5 years post-doctoral research experience or have not been doing clinical research for more than 5 years. The winner will be voted for by UKCO delegates during the meeting and will be announced before the end of the congress.  Abstract submission deadline is Wednesday June 14, 2017.  The winner will receive a prize certificate formally presented at UKCO2017 and complimentary registration for UKCO2018.
