The UK Congress on Obesity
The UK Congress on Obesity (UKCO) began in 2014, with the first event in Birmingham. This was followed by a strategic review which showed that members, whilst enjoying the ASO's separate one day scientific meetings, wanted more involvement and a congress style event would facilitate this more member led approach. The second UKCO took place in Glasgow which was a great success and attended by over 150 delegates.
UKCO2016 took place at the University of Nottingham's Sutton Bonington Campus. The event was well attended with over 200 delegates and 6 exhibitors. With an excellent programme that included plenaries, oral abstracts, member-led symposia and more than 50 presented posters, the conference was a great success.
